View – When you have selected the cell phone carrier that you feel will be the best choice, it’s time to select your plan. Remember too that all cell phone service providers will allow you to easily upgrade to more minutes on a plan, but very few of them will allow you to downgrade.

When the first cell phone arrived onto the market it was very basic but in those days it was classed as the best invention since electricity. Would we dispute that now? The cell phone manufacturers today are in constant battle to win over your dollars with the latest cellular phones science has to offer. You are as the consumer need to aware of what is best for you. Many people receive their first cell phone after they sign up to a cell phone carrier for the first time. The phone may not exactly be what you want but it’s a starting point saving you money.

What’s the difference anyway?

There are so many differences when it comes to choosing cell phones. Price is one thing but functionality is most important. Cell phones such as, camera phones, PDA and GPS are all the rage on today’s market but you need to look at your own needs before choosing.

Camera Cell Phones:

Camera cell phones are as their name suggests a cell phone that can capture photographs. They are very popular with all ages but mostly with teens to those in their early twenties. All the major cell phone manufacturers such as Nokia, Samsung, Siemens, and Motorola etc have seen their profits sore since their introduction onto the market. The idea of sending photos to friends and family via MMS appeals to most especially for those who have family living far away. The phone itself can also be attached to your home or office PC and the photo’s then uploaded to the PC and emailed globally if you wish. The camera cellular phones range in price depending on the quality of the camera, most now have built in zoom in / out options and offer a limited movie take generally 30 seconds to 1 minute. All in all the camera phone is good quality fun phone to have.

View – Now that you have your cell phone provider in mind, it’s a good idea to actually visit their store and physically inspect all of the phones that they have available. This is important because just seeing a picture of a cell phone will not tell you much about how it actually works.

GPS Phones:

Firstly GPS stands for Global Positioning Satellite. GPS cell phones are at the higher end of the scale and once again all the major cell phone manufacturers are making them. They are ideal for a number of different people. For those of us who love outdoor adventure such as mountainous walks, climbing or skiing the GPS phone could be a life safer. GPS allows you to be pin pointed to an area at all times, so if in the unfortunate case of you being lost or hurt you will be tracked down and brought to safety. On the other end of the scale employers are purchasing the GPS cell phones for employees in order to keep track of their whereabouts (not a great idea for the employee who plays golf). The GPS phone is generally more expensive.

PDA Phones:

PDA stands for Personal Digital Assistant. PDA cell phones are more like your home PC, they are ideal for those who work in an office environment and need to travel to clients or simply work from home. Like your home computer they have a processor, memory and a good quality TFT display. You will even have a smaller version of windows to navigate around the different programs. As you might imagine the PDA phone is the most expensive on the market with all the functionality available to it.

View – Do not use cell phone batteries and cell phone charges that are not compatible with your exact cell phones. Be sure if you buy a charger from the store that you have bought the correct one.

What one is for me?

Well that a question for you but have a think about it, cell phones are not overly cheap so choosing wisely is a must. The camera cell phone is ideal if you are going to maximise it’s use for photo’s, be aware that sending photo’s via text or MMS as it is called is much more expensive than sending standard texts. GPS is ideal for outdoor enthusiasts or employers who need to keep track of staff. PDA cell phones are great as mini computer and ideal for office workers or even students. If you wish to travel internationally with your cell phone you need to check two things: Firstly ask your cell phone carrier about the coverage and roaming rates in the country you intend travelling too, roaming rates can be very high depending on what carrier you are with. Secondly your cell phone may need tri or quad band functionality so check the specifications of the cellular phone before purchasing.

View – Lastly your cell phone will most likely last you a year or two or more.

Well let’s be honest some people just don’t bother doing cell phone reviews, and why should they? Well let’s keep things simple, would you just walk into a car showroom and drive away within 5 minutes, not many would unless you have done your homework first. Cell phones can be complex, you need to know what you what before you jump and buy, and then there are the cell phone carriers, who to choose from. A little research goes along way. The cell phones today are far different than when first introduced onto the market. We now have GPS phones, camera phone, PDA phones and phones with Bluetooth technologies. Bluetooth, when it first came out I thought it was a fashion icon to dye your teeth. You have to be aware of what you are buying in order to maximise the usage.

View – Make sure that voicemail is included in your cell phone plan at no extra cost. Most cell phone carriers provide this feature but there are a few which still charge for voicemail.

What are you using the phone for?

Simple question like what is the phone for, need to be answered. Do you need the cell phone for business, general call or fun (camera phones). What cell phone manufacturer do you prefer, or do you even know of any? Well here are a few to keep your mind open: Samsung, Motorola, Nokia, Motorola, NEC, Oki, Sony Ericsson, Philips, JRC and Mitsubishi to name but a few. Well let’s put things into perfective, all the major cell phone manufacturers claim to better than the other, word off month from friends and family will give you an honest opinion or maybe you have used a previous cell phone from one of these manufacturers. Everybody has a key use for the cellular phone, do you need to take photos? If so the camera phone is really the only option, if you need quality photos you need to check if the camera phone has a zoom in and out option and what the pixel rate is. Do you want a flip screen cell phone or standard display?

View – Offer your cell phone to people who are lost, whose car is broken down or who need you to call their cell phone so they can locate.

Business users may benefit more from the PDA phones. PDA are ideal as they are compared to as a mini PC. The specifications can be looked as that to a computer and it is the ideal phone for working from home or hotel rooms if you travel. The GPS phones are great for the more sporty among us such as climbers or adventurers. Global positioning satellite will allow you be traced if lost or in difficulty, great for those travelling to remote regions.

By researching a little you get a whole new perspective on cell phones and manufacturers. The market leaders in cell phone manufacturing are the ones who bring out the newest technology, keep your eyes on the web to see bulletins and news flashes in the communication business world. Cell phones have come down in price with the increased competition and the ever growing demand by the general public but they still need careful consideration.

View – Do not use incompatible cell phone batteries and chargers. Some Web sites and second-hand dealers, not associated with reputable manufacturers and carriers, might be selling incompatible or even counterfeit batteries and chargers.

Cost Saving:

If you are reluctant to get another monthly bill into the household you can opt for the prepaid cell phones. Prepaid cellular phones are very popular and a great way to manage your finances. There is no monthly bill, it’s simply pay as you go. You get credit for your phone from your local store or simply call a number given to you by the cell phone carrier and top up with a credit card. Remember prepaid cell phones are more expensive per minute to operate than a bill phone.

Trade in your old phone

Most people are aware but some are not, if you already have a bill phone and are looking to get a new one ask in your store about a trade in or upgrade, most cell phones carriers offer upgrades as an incentive to stay connected to their network. Do not simply go and pick one of the shelf and pay for it without mentioning the possibility of an upgrade.

View – Many companies will recycle or reuse your cell phone, most times even giving you a credit toward the purchase of your new phone. Find ways you can reuse or recycle your phone and accessories.

Cell phone accessories to go with the phone:

Many of us like to spice things up a little with our phones by changing the cell phone face plate and so on. Not all cell phones allow this to happen so check before you buy or you could be in for a disappointment.

Phones that work internationally:

Do not take it for granted that the phone you buy works internationally if you want to travel. Most cell phone manufacturers have models available to do so but you need to ask about their range of tri band or quad band cell phones.

View – You can also save money on cell phone plans if you only plan on using the cell phone for local calls. Most cell phone service providers have plans that allow you to just call locally without adding in long-distance calls.

The newest technology is incredible and getting better. The newest 3G technologies have the ability now to find your exact position and with a little work and multiple sites with in a region can also figure your speed in real time. This could be good for catching those who might harm our troops. Or it could assist you and alert you that there is a Starbucks nearby and then give you directions and then charge you for your favorite drink? Seriously and also charge your toll so you do not need an Express Card or stop at the toll booths;

There has even been speculation that cell phones can help with health issues and Some say the cell phones cause brain tumors.
others say that they help? The good thing about 3G technology is that it has much less power in the handset, longer battery life and less microwaves entering your cranial area. The Wireless revolution is here and those of us who are sensitive to frequencies bands will find it difficult to have quality of life in those areas. A study by three Dutch government ministry research scientists found that radio signals for the next generation of mobile phone services can cause headaches and nausea and of course all this too is debated.

View – Look out for smaller retail shops that are having a sale or discount for that week. You’d never know what great cell phone deals you could get, even if it’s from a smaller store or branch.

In this particular study they compared the effects of radiation from base stations used for the current mobile telephone network with the radiation effects of base stations of 3G networks. The study found that the test group exposed to third generation base station signals felt tingling sensations, got headaches, and felt nauseous. Cognitive functions such as memory and response times were actually boosted by both 3G signals and the current signals. This is interesting and I have found this to be true when I used lots of minutes on my cell phone, I had more brain activity.

Other studies have recently come out and said that small does of microwave are actually good for you. And I have found that significant does of caffeine during periods of high cell phone use increased and stimulated brain activity to higher levels of thinking. The ramifications of the study to WiFi networks is clear: previous research into the health effects of radio frequency radiation always measured the impact of cell phones, which are held close to the head and cause high fields of radiation close to the ear and warming of the brain. I have found that it heated up the back of the brain or cerebellum and thus stimulated the brain, but also could cause headaches, until which time the brain got use to that frequency. And then it enjoyed the stimuli and was even able to pick up that signal. Meaning, just seconds before the phone rang the brain felt stimulated, in other words the brain was in fact picking up the signal. And this even worked when the phone was in the next room.

View – Children should be allowed to use the cell phone in cases of emergency only. Because of their developing skulls, the radiation can penetrate much more deeply.

So these studies are correct and the 3D technology and the cognitive enhancement, I can vouch for is real. VERY REAL. The Dutch study, on the other hand, used lower a dose of radiation to mimic base station signals rather than handsets. Handsets emit stronger radiation when they are used, while base stations transmit more constant levels of radio signals, exposing everyone within range. I therefore propose this:

Some are doing this for safety, we are studying this to increase the world knowledge and better the human race. And realize that we will soon be able to use this data along with other significant research like this to connect the brain to machine, increase our capacity and create artificial life with a soul being a frequency wave of RF, VLF, ELF or microwave. Connecting Man to computer or putting computers in man is almost here:

View – Offer your cell phone to people who are lost, whose car is broken down or who need you to call their cell phone so they can locate.

http://www.parthe.net/_cwg0803/00000033.htm

The Europeans, have been way ahead of us in these studies, for instance this study in Belfast at the University, but just because you have a hands free unit does not mean that the power in the wire is not also going to your brain and if you are wearing your cell phone on your belt, your reproductive organs are there, which might be more important to the future of the human race than your personal brain? Think about it. Some say it could in fact help with population control although that is not so funny when you think about it. In any species, the job of the individual is to be born, procreate and then die, thus continuing the cycle and the species. Don’t mess it up? Look at the picture there. And the WHO, no not the band, the WHO-World Health Organization says it finds issues with the use of cell phones and of course they are not the only ones studying this the National Radiological Protection Board also is now involved in a big way among their other important studies on the effects of these things.

There is another interesting use of the 3G technology, if you phone is with you and you are speeding between cell towers you may receive a ticket in the mail? Bummer, the cell phone, which allows you mobility will be the reason you get charged a fine.

View – Do not use the cell phone in enclosed metal spaces such as vehicles or elevators, where devices may use more power to establish connection. The metal enclosure also acts as a Faraday cage that traps the radiation and reflects it back onto the occupants.

There are pros and cons to the newest 3G Cell Phone Technology, but best of all you will be able to here whoever you are calling almost anywhere in the world very soon.
