Cellular telephone accessory companies will often use the telephone to make sales to their cell phone customers. Often, this makes the telephone subscriber upset because they are paying for these minutes. However, if the telephone sales are done during the non-peak hours where the people are getting free unlimited minutes then generally the cell phone subscribers are not very upset.
One of the things telephone salespeople will ask is are you happy with the service? Do you like your phone? Would you like to upgrade your phone? Have you seen our new phones? Do you need any additional car battery adapter? Do you need a new leather carrying case? If so I can take your credit card over the phone right now or I can put it on your cell phone bill if you’d like. I will mail it out to you right away and you should have it within two or three working days; would that be okay for you?
Perhaps you can see why telephone sales and sales for cell phone adapters work so well and why so many companies are doing this. The telephone salesperson will act like this is a service to you to check up on cell phone service and see how you are doing and if there’s anything you need but in actuality it is a pure sales call to sell you stuff. Consider all this in 2006.

There are many new companies, which will spring up in the near future, which will send out instant messages to cell phone users, as Microsoft merges computers and cell phones. Great idea and much like the SmartMob technologies, which bring singles together for instant parties or patronage at restaurants.
Call it Smart Mobs go social if you will. It is the next evolutionary step in technology to the social networks on the Internet, like MySpace.com and such. One gentleman told me recently that there is a company who will pay you to put your 120 character messages online, as you can be an instant messaging writer? How about that, have a current event topic, news topic or such?
The content must be 120 characters max. You get paid 2 cents per character and it appears they have a 100 message per month limit on submissions. They own the content and reserve the rights to approve, deny, edit or modify the text. Maximum monthly income would be $240 per month.
Sounds interesting indeed and if you are a writer well maybe, just maybe you might make a little extra money writing articles that will alert your readers thru instant messaging and you get paid for the message that is sent out too? Who knows if this will take off or not, maybe so, maybe not, but you have to admit it is kind of intriguing is it not? Consider all this in 2006.

Nokia fans feast your eyes on Motorola’s first “candy bar” style cell phone that is razor-thin weighing just 9 grams which is lighter than the Motorola Razr phone. The name of the new Motorola phone is the “Slvr” ,pronounced “sliver”. This cell phone is also referred to as the L6 or L7, and was actually code named “Royal Blade” because it has a sharp razor look and feel without the flip-up cover. A quick side by side comparison shows that the Motorola “Slvr” is slightly longer and wider than a closed Razr phone. It would be pretty easy to forget about this cell phone in your pocket.
It was designed especially for Nokia customers who prefer a razor-thin Cingular phone but have an aversion to the flip style phones. One of the features that makes this cell phone stand apart from the Motorola Razr phones is that it has a built-in MP3 player to play your favorite songs plus a removable TransFlash memory card so you can store your favorite music files. Oddly, it lacks a headphone jack, which is strange because it has an MP3 player. You could however use the USB port for headphones. Some industry experts speculated that “Slver” would be released with a Motorola Bluetooth headset and they were correct. When it comes to both talk time and standby time, this cell phone offers more than the Motorola Razr phone. It is a quad band GSM phone that includes Bluetooth Class 2, Push-to-Talk (PTT), VGA camera, SCREEN3 and a MP3 player.
There has been a lot of talk about Motorola developing another razor phone that will attract traditional Nokia phone buyers and turn them into Motorola cell phone customers. Stay tuned, the Motorola “Sliver” is now available with special online pricing if one purchases a new Cingular service plan.
