Part of the fun of having a cell phone today is that you can upload all sorts of interesting mobile ringtones. You can use these cell phone ringtones for sounding when you have an inbound call, to let you know when you have an audio message, and also when you receive an instant message as well. There are all sorts of ringtones around today. Here are few examples of the types of mobile ringtones you can use to customize your cell phone.
Some of the most popular ringtones these days are hooks from current popular songs. In fact, there are several music services that allow you to download multiple rings and save them directly on your cell phone. Typically, the cost for the downloads are very little, and it guarantees that wherever you go, your favorite artist will let you know when you have a call or message pending. Because the mobile ringtones are so easy to download, you can switch out the tones any time you like.
For those of us that may like the oldies, do not fear. Mobile ringtones for people who are into the music of another era is also widely available today. While classic rock and roll and top 40 music of past decades are very popular, you can also find mobile ringtones that feature folk artists, blues riffs and jazzy horn melodies, if that is your preference.
Do you enjoy the sound of a coyote wailing or the love to hear water cascading over a waterfall? There are mobile ringtones that are perfect for you as well. Nature sounds are used by a lot of people to help create a restful and meditative atmosphere in the home, so it should not come as any surprise that people might want to take a little of that good feeling with them when they are out. An added bonus to having nature oriented cell phone ringtones will be the looks of confusion that people will assume when they hear your phone ring.
For those that are more retro, you can go with mobile ringtones that sound exactly like the old wired telephones that we all used for decades. From the familiar chirp that characterized American telephones for decades to the double rings familiar to generations of United Kingdom phone users, your cell phone can be equipped with mobile ringtones to bring back the good old days.
When it comes to cell phone ringtones, your only real limitation is your imagination. These days, if it can be captured in a sound byte, chances are it can be converted into mobile ringtones that are not only functional, but also will amuse you and the people around you. For more information, check out the Internet for some great deals on ringtones, or speak with your cell provider.

Let me first say that unless you use your cell phone a LOT, then chances are you’re getting completely ripped off by your postpaid provider. But I’m sure you didn’t need me to tell you that.
I’ll tell you how you can get a Nokia 6030 (a very nice basic phone) and approximately 1200 prepaid minutes that will not expire for exactly 1 year for around $100-$105:
1.) Go to DealKing.com and create an account. Make sure you confirm your account via email if necessary and are logged in.
2.) Now navigate DealKing’s website and find the Nokia 6030 deal. It should be one of the “Hot Offers” on the right hand side of the page.
3.) It should navigate you to T-Mobile’s website. Locate the Nokia 6030 Prepaid phone by simply typing 6030 into the search bar. Add it to your cart and purchase it.
4.) (Optional) You can get a pre-activated SIM card on eBay with 150 minutes on it for about $10 shipped. I recommend doing this because not only is this around $0.07 per minute which is cheaper than any other way to load minutes onto this phone, but if you’re not transferring your old phone number you’ll already have one all set up when you get the phone.
5.) Now you have several options. I recommend purchasing a $100 refill card from CheapPhoneCards.com for $94 if you use coupon code “refill5″. I’ll explain why in a second.
That’s it! Once you get the phone, simply pop in your SIM card you got from eBay (or the one that comes with the phone if you didn’t). If you want to transfer a number or activate the included SIM, you’ll need to call T-Mobile’s customer support, which is pretty good. I was on the line with them less than 10 minutes before I was all set up. If you used the eBay SIM and bought the $100 refill, you should get around 1200 minutes.
The reason for purchasing $100 refill is because not only do you get the best per minute rate, but after you’ve put $100 of refills on your account, you become a Gold Rewards member. This gives you 15% more minutes per refill and makes any refill last an entire year before it expires. Once you’re a Gold Rewards member, you keep your status forever.
It might seem like a lot of work, but if you’re like me and don’t make phone calls that last more than 2-3 minutes, the 1200 minutes will last you a while and you’ll save a TON of money now that you’re off your postpaid plan.
One thing I forgot to mention was that you should be able to use your current cell phone with T-Mobile To Go if it’s GSM unlocked.

Cell phones are associated with a large spectrum of people in today’s world. Most of which are young adults, business executives and of course trades people. If you ask these people to give up their cells for a day, they might offer you their right arm instead.
That’s because cell phones have become such a large part of our lives. I know many people are reading this and thinking, “That will be the day when I purchase a cellular phone”. But you may want to reconsider.
Cell phones are becoming an extremely popular tool for keeping people and their families safe. We are fortunate to be living in an era where we can not only enjoy the convenience of a cell phone but also reap the benefits of it’s personal safety aspect.
I’m sure when the first phone call was made by Dr. Martin Cooper from Motorola in 1973, he never realized the enormous contribution he was making to the safety and security of his country and others around the world.
Let’s face it, cell phones are here to stay! They aren’t exclusive to the young, professionals or even the everyday working stiff. They are for you and your family to use in case of emergency. These electronic gadgets same lives and are critical in the prevention of crime.
You could be in the comfort of your home or in a remote area of the country. Whether your hiking up mountain trails or heading to the grocery store, it gives a great sense of security and comfort knowing help is just a phone call away in the event of an emergency.
Parents are sending their children to school with cell phones because they want to keep the lines of communication open with their children. It gives parents piece of mind knowing their children can communicate with them at a time of need.
Seniors are packing cell phones, even for those short strolls around the block. I was talking with an eighty year old customer the other day and he said he would never be without his cell phone since he lived alone. He explained he had all his children’s numbers programmed in the phone so at the push of a button he was in direct contact with anyone of them.
Cell phones help keep neighborhoods safe by alert neighbors calling in suspicious activity. The bad guys had better watch out for the watchful neighbor armed with a cell phone. A neighbor who won’t waste any time calling the police to investigate dubious activity.
There are many tools available in the fight against crime. Tools like good locks, security systems, glass protection and of course cell phones. So if you are one of those people who would never consider purchasing a cellular phone think again, after all it might save a precious life.
