Have Some Fun with a Cellular Phone Camera
January 29th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedCellular phones have certainly evolved from the simple wireless phones that they once were. It used to be that it was enough just to have the capability to call someone anywhere you wanted to. However, people became bored with that primary feature. They wanted their cellular phones to do more than that. Technology responded, and so the cellular phone camera was born.
About the Cellular Phone Camera
Gone are the days when people had to get their pictures developed just to see what they looked like. Now pictures can be instantly taken and placed on a computer. First, there were digital cameras, then cellular phone cameras came along.
Cellular phone cameras are much like digital cameras. In newer cellular phones, cellular phone cameras are built-in, so all you have to do is push a button which takes the picture. The picture is automatically displayed on the screen of the phone.
Once the pictures have been taken with the cellular phone camera, you have a couple of options. You can save them on your phone, send them to a friend whose cellular phone also has cellular phone camera capabilities, or you can connect the cellular phone to a laptop or a PC and save or print them.
Cellular phone cameras are a lot of fun for many different reasons. For example, sometimes while you are out and about somewhere, do you take a digital camera with you? Not likely, but you do take your cell phone with you. So, you see something that you would like to take a picture of. With a cellular phone camera, you can easily take the picture.
Some people are a bit more brazen with these cameras. For example, these cameras often double as video cameras. If people are in New York or Los Angeles and see a celebrity trying to be incognito, they can take a picture or film of them without being noticed.
Teenagers are especially fond of these cameras for brazen reasons of their own. For example, with these cameras, a boy or girl can easily take a picture of their secret crush without having to worry about being caught by them.
If the idea of a cellular phone camera seems like a fun one to you, then be sure to check to all the phones that have that capability via your service provider. With these cameras, you are sure to catch some fun pictures that you would never have been able to catch otherwise.

Is the Cellular Phone Antenna Harmful to Your Health?
January 26th, 2008    Subscribe To Our FeedThere has been a lot of debate that a cellular phone antenna can be harmful to your health. Let us look into the facts and find out whether these rumors are founded on any truth.
Are There Any Harmful Effects? If Yes, How To Prevent It?
When cars were first invented (even if the highest possible speed was about 20-30 km/hr) people were of the opinion that anyone who will use them regularly will develop dreadful diseases and die. Today, the speed of the vehicles exceeds 200 km/hr and people who drive them (or travel in them) are okay.
Similarly, it is true that the cellular phone antenna emit a certain amount of electromagnetic waves; they also use radio signals to transmit sound. While it is true that over exposure to either (or both) are indeed harmful, the amount produced by a cellular phone antenna during brief normal conversations is has not been found to be sufficient to create a long lasting harmful impact.
The warning of the health hazard had started when the Stewart Report had proved that radio waves (from the cellular phone antenna) do indeed pass through the human body. The report particularly warned about exposure to small children and advised that they should not use this device or at least very sparingly since the radiation can harm and inhibit the formation of brain cells.
One can definitely not do without a cellular phone or the cellular phone antenna. However, we can definitely take a few steps to reduce the radiation effects to the minimum possible. Here are a few suggestions:
- Children should indeed not use cell phones unless in dire emergencies. Whenever they need to speak over the phone, they should do so from normal landlines.
- Whenever you buy a cell phone pay special attention to the SAR (specific absorption rate) factor - the lower the SAR factor is the better it is for you since the radio emission is the least.
- When carrying a mobile phone, keep the device as far from your body as possible. Carry it in pouches, handbags or the like so they can touch the body only during use.
- Keep the conversations as short as you can. This is a good advice for the pocket as well. Short conversations are not able to emit sufficient radiation to harm the body. If the conversation has to be long, alternate often between one ear and the other so there is no continuous exposure.
- Cut the use of the cell phone to the minimum possible when the reception is poor, as the cellular phone antenna will try to boost its power and hence the radiation to capture the signals will increase.

Hands-Free Cell Phone Headsets

Many states require hands-free cell phone headsets to be used while operating a vehicle. Many people like to be able to walk around and talk on the phone, without having it balanced in the crook of their shoulder. When purchasing a cell phone headset there are many choices available at all price levels. Besides this, it is also important to consider compatibility, comfort, and durability.
Compatibility
It may seem like common sense, but making sure the desired headset is compatible with the existing mobile device is important. Many brands have a different headset for each variety of devices within their brand. Checking exact model numbers can save a lot of time and aggravation.
Also for this type of item it could be wise to go to a retailer which sells the phones rather than a shop which only deals in accessories. This is because they are likely to have more knowledgeable employees, a better selection of name brands for compatible products and possibly unique packages only offered by the manufacturer.
Comfort
Comfort of the cell phone headset is also important, as sore ears don’t make it enjoyable to speak to anyone. If at all possible, one should try on the headset before purchasing, or try a few other people’s to get an idea of what they find to be comfortable. Many cell phone headsets are an over-the-ear kind; the headset has a speaker which fits just inside the ear with a flexible padded wire, which wraps around the ear and a microphone which positions itself a couple inches from the mouth.
Durability
Durability is important for obvious reasons; equipment that breaks is a waste of money and time. The best advice is to research them on the internet and look at customer reviews; while this does really give a narrow profile of experiences, it will also tell the personal experiences of real people.
After researching if you are still unsure, store employees can be a great resource for choosing the best product to meet an individual’s needs or budget. Not everyone needs the most expensive blue tooth wireless cell phone head set, nor are all headsets cut from the same cloth. Choosing a product that will last is something all consumers want. Value, quality of the product and usability are the most important factors when purchasing any item. In conclusion, it can never hurt to really research a product before purchasing it.
